Obituary for
Collette Jean Lippoldt
Longtime Northglenn resident Collette Lippoldt died Saturday, December 2, 2017, at the Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, CO, she was 63 years old.
She was born Collette Jean Howk on November 3, 1954 in Terre Haute, Indiana, the daughter of Lois (Kelly) and John R. Howk. Her family moved to Colorado in 1967, coming from Idaho Falls, ID. Collette attended and graduated from Broomfield High School with the class of 1974.
She was married to Roy Lippoldt on November 15, 1972 in Boulder. To this union three children were born; Amy, Candy, and Troy.
Collette worked in the family’s business for a number of years before working other various retail jobs before her failing health made it hard to continue.
She enjoyed a number of hobbies like sewing, cooking, collecting antiques, crafting, and making and even selling jewelry. When she was able, she enjoyed swimming and going to movies. She was a great mother and grandmother, and loved the time spent with her family. She was a very forgiving woman, and had a special fondness for her dogs. Her love for music was spent listening to her favorites Eric Clapton and Foreigner. Her siblings remember the Elton John era.
She is preceded in death by her mother.
Surviving family members include her father John Howk, her children, Amy Lippoldt, Candy Yanez, and Troy Lippoldt with wife Jennifer. Surviving siblings are Monica Lee, Phillip Howk with wife Christie, Timothy Howk, Patricia Howk with husband Ricky, Michael Howk with wife Michelle, and Nancy Wilson with husband Steve. She is also survived by her grandchildren Nicholas Lippoldt, Jessica Thaler, and Kolette Yanez. She has one great-grandchild Oliver Thaler. As well as 11 nieces and 5 nephews. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
