Obituary for Ron Metsala

Ron  Metsala
Ron D. Metsala, longtime Broomfield resident, passed away on January 14, 2018. He was 66 years old. He was born February 26, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois.

Preceding Ron in death were his parents Arnie H. Metsala and Lois Metsale, stepmother Helen Metsala, father-in-law Leonard McLachlan, mother-in-law Eleanor McLachlan, and nephew Cory Steele.

Survivors include Ron’s wife Trish Metsala, son Bradley D. Metsale, stepson Nick Frasher, daughter-in-law Carolyn Biggart, sister Janette (Steve) Birney, sister-in-law Phyllis (Larry) Steele, and granddaughter Kyra Frasher. He was lovingly known as “Uncle Ronnie” to nieces and nephews: Chad (Alice) Steele, Brian (Tiffany) Steele, Adam (Beth) Steele, Scott (Kally) Birney, Beth Birney, Mike (Wanda) Eby, and Jason (Carmen) Eby. Ron is also survived by numerous extended family and friends including Keith and Julianne, John, Jesse, and Kelly.

Visiting hours will be held from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Rundus Funeral Home, 1998 W. 10th Avenue, Broomfield, CO 80020.

A service in Iowa City, Iowa will be held later in the year. Ron will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Iowa City, Iowa.
