Broomfield resident Margaret Ellen Lovelace passed away on February 26, 2018. She was 92.
Peggy was born in Indiana on September 12, 1925 to Thomas and Nellie (McDonald) Baynes. They were blessed with two sons – Jim and Jon.
Peggy proudly worked as an executive secretary to Mr. William Block at Block’s Department Store in Indianapolis. Mr. Block was an important figure in her life – Peggy and Gene’s wedding reception was hosted in the tea room at the store!
In 1965, Peggy & family moved to Broomfield. Peggy was an active member at the First United Methodist Church of Broomfield. She loved the beauty of Colorado, and spent as much time as she could outdoors.
Preceding Peggy in death were her parents, her husband Gene, daughter-in-law Gale Lovelace, and sister Millicent Bowerman. She is survived by her sons Jim Lovelace and Jon (Cindy) Lovelace; and grandsons Ryan Egan, Henry Lovelace, Joseph Lovelace, and Matthew Lovelace.
A Celebration of Peggy’s Life will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., at Rundus Funeral Home in Broomfield.
