Condolence: I met Nick nearly a decade ago when my girls attended Cooper Landing school. Nick was a wonderful math teacher to them and such a fun loving person. Remember Halloween? Also, always providing me with dandelion wine. I loved Nick. He will be missed in Cooper Landing.

Condolence: Mr. LeMieux was a teacher of mine early (where did the time go?, yikes) in his career at Meritt Hutton High School (now Thornton High School). He taught chemistry, physics, and biology-I especially remember his Biology II class where he introduced us to DNA and genetics and the scholars who mattered for that material (Crick and Watson, Srb and Owen, and Theodosius Dobzhansky, as well as other aspects of what was college level biology-he encouraged us to read, for example, texts like Ecological Animal Geography by Hesse, Allee and Schmidt. "Nick" was one of the best educators I had at both the high school and college level. He's missed!

Condolence: Mr LeMieux was one of my favorite teachers at Northglenn High. He loved science so much and showed me that not only is it cool to like science but also that you can have a career in it. He was a wonderful teacher. I am very sorry for your loss but your father/grandfather/great/great-great grandfather will live forever in the students whose lives he touched.

Condolence: Nick LeMieux was, by far, the best teacher I had in my academic career. He taught me a love for science and most importantly how to be a good student. I will never forget his lessons, his smile and his laugh. He truly loved his job and his students and it showed in his teaching. Nick left an incredible legacy at Northglenn High School. I am very sorry for your loss but I hope you can take some comfort in the fact that your father/grandfather/great grandfather had a lasting and significant impact on so many young lives. He will always be remembered.

Condolence: This dear man gave me skills I did not learn at university. I went on to a career in science then teaching and administration. I'd be pleased if I passed on to my students even a tiny fraction of what he taught me.

Mr. LeMieux's teaching was decades ahead of his time. I have taught in some prestigious private schools around the world and I've never seen his equal.

My condolences to his family, I'm sure you miss him.

Condolence: I fondly remember Mr. LeMieux and the Biochemistry class he taught. I learned more than chemistry from him, I learned how to be a student. Now, many years later, in my own high school classroom, the many lessons I learned from him, I pass on to my own students. Rest in Peace, you were a wonderful teacher!

Condolence: The greatest legacy I think a teacher can leave is that his students remember them years later. I appreciate all the years he dedicated to his students. Sorry for your loss but thank you for sharing all those years with all of his students.

Condolence: To the family Mr. LeMieux,

Mr. LeMieux was my science teacher during the 1970's at Northglenn High School. He was absolutely my favorite teacher. His passion for the sciences spread to his students, making biology and chemistry my most cherished classes; inspiring a love for the sciences that is still with me today, over 40 years later. Thank you Mr. LeMieux and to his family, my condolences over the loss of your father and grandfather.
