Joseph Robert "Joe"  Hacker
Joseph Robert Hacker, the fifth of seven children, was born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 19, 1939. He loved his Pittsburgh Steelers.

He served his country in the United States Army from 1956 to 1959.

He moved to California in 1963 and met and married his wife of 54 years, Cheryl in 1964. Joe and Cheryl had two sons, Matthew James and Thomas Dia.

Joe (Butcher Joe) was a sober member of a 12 step program for 45+ years.

Joe and Cheryl moved to Colorado in 2016 to be closer to family.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl, son Tom, daughter-in-law Jill, granddaughter Hannah, grandson Zach, brother James Hacker of Coos Bay, OR, sister Jorjann Williams of Aliquippa, PA, many nieces and nephews, and many, many members of the 12 step community.

He was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.


Services will be held Monday, October 29, 2018 at 10:00 am, at Rundus Funeral Home in Broomfield, Colorado.
