Merle Reisbeck 94 passed away August 13th in Broomfield Colorado with his granddaughter by his side.
He was born on Sept 23 1924 in Berthoud CO. being a third generation Berthoud citizen. His parents were George  and Edith (McHenna) Reisbeck. He Graduated Berthoud High School  and Married is High School Sweetheart Audrey Johnson. Their only child, Kirk was born1958.  He enlisted in the Office of War Management Training where he learned electronics specializing in something new call “radar”.  This education propelled him into an exciting careerer.  Starting with the new Alaska Airlines. He and his new wife headed to Alaska where he was instrumental in setting up the radio transmission system used to guide the planes into Anchorage. Two kids from small town USA had an adventure of a lifetime, one of many to come for Merle. After Alaska he open a radio service shop in Loveland CO. He then furthered his education, and studied at C.U. Boulder and was hired in 1957 by small electronics firm called Ball Brothers Research Corp in Boulder, the very start of the what is now Ball Aerospace. To that young Engineer and the others working in the back lab of the one-building company, there were no specific goals for the group other than to succeed in the emerging aerospace business. He grew with the company that soon became a leader in the aerospace arena  
he rose to the top and   became the vice president of High Technology Products.
His career encompassed  the height of space exploration in the 1960’s and 70s.  He was apart of many Apollo spacecraft launches, and entertained dignitaries including astronauts when they were considered the heroes of the day.  

Merle was an avid fisherman especially enjoying the art fly fishing, he enjoyed hunting especially bird hunting, he was  excellent writer and wrote several short stories, poems and a novel. He was a world traveler.

In 1979 he married his soul mate, Marilyn Cohen.  They bought a beautiful boat and call her Pilar and had
 big adventures on her the biggest was navigating the sea of Cortez.
They reveled in exploring and learning all things new to them.
They delighted in fun, and intelligent conversation with their friends new and old,
and they especially enjoyed their Grandchildren.

 Merle is preceded in death by his son Kirk in 1995 to a car accendent.
and his beloved wife Marilyn in 2014.

Merle is survived by his loving Grandchildren,  
Peter (Shannon), Tim (Natalie), Tyson (Samantha) Cohen also Derek (Amber) and Renee Reisbeck.
and 6 Great-grand children, Ryder, Mia, Boaz, Levi, Violet, Gunner and twin girls due in December

Merles ashes will be interned in the Berthoud Cemetery with a lunch after on Sunday Sept. 23 at 11:00 am
