Obituary for LuAnn Ezeonu

LuAnn Ezeonu passed away peacefully at the age of 56 surrounded by family and friends. She was born on August 19, 1962 in Billings, MT to James and Nita Horn. She graduated from West High School in Billings in 1980 before going to work at Albertson’s near Rocky Mountain College. One student finished his shopping, waited patiently until there weren’t any customers in line, and went back to buy a pack of gum at her check stand. That student was Edwin Ezeonu and the rest is history.

On February 14, 1987, LuAnn and Edwin were married at Cornerstone Church in Billings and they moved to Broomfield, CO to start their married life. LuAnn worked at World Savings Bank in Northglenn and Boulder where she excelled in customer service relations. LuAnn had three wonderful children; Ranita who attended University of Colorado at Denver, Stephen who served in the United States Marine Corps and is studying at Front Range Community College, and C.J. who is attending Colorado School of Mines.

LuAnn never met a stranger in her life, and with her affinity for love and compassion, went on to work at Steven’s Aviation. LuAnn took classes at Front Range Community College. She also taught preschool classes at Cross of Christ in Broomfield. LuAnn loved to cook, bake, and garden, in addition to looking after her family. LuAnn’s legacy is her loving touch and kind words for her family and friends in the U.S. and in Nnobi, Nigeria. She will be dearly missed.

LuAnn is survived by her husband of 32 years, Edwin, her children, her mother Nita Horn, and brothers; Tom and his wife Nancy, John and his wife Lynne, and Dave and his wife Rebecca. She is also survived by Okey and Rolita, Linda, Ifeyinwa, Eziamaka, and Ogadi Ezeonu, as well as her nieces and nephews. May the heavenly father grace LuAnn and give her eternal life, amen.
